I’ve written about this electric film before…
…so the only thing I’ll add are the following photos, which provide a nice feel of Tokyo’s streets in the early 1960’s.
In this first picture we see a car in the center of the frame, with a Toden streetcar behind it. For more about Tokyo’s streetcar network, see:

In the next frame we see a typical Tokyo street; many of the buildings on the left are classic example of kanban kenchiku (billboard architecture).
