1930’s Tokyo firehouse (fire station)

Tokyo 1930s retro fire station

The Takanawa Fire Department Nihonenoki Branch 高輪消防署二本榎出張所, located in Minato-ku, is about equal distance away from Shirokanedai Station, Takanawadai Station, and Sengakuji Station. (Located here: Google maps)

This station was built in 1933 in the German Expressionism ドイツ表現主義 style (source), which I, as an amateur, might confuse for Art Deco. The lighthouse-looking tower at top is a lookout/watchtower to spot fires 望楼 (ぼうろう). The building is now an inspiration for retrofuturism レトロフューチャー.
